Frequently asked questions
Do I need any racing experience to take part?
No prior racing experience is required. A professional instructor is included and will guide you through the session. You do, however, need to be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
What licence do I need, and does it have to be from the UAE?
A valid domestic driver's licence from your home country is accepted. It must have been held for at least one year — or a minimum of two years if you are aged 19 to 25. Provisional licences are not accepted.
Is there a height or weight limit?
Drivers must be between 160 cm and 190 cm tall and weigh no more than 105 kg. These limits are set by the car's safety and fit requirements.
Can I bring friends or family to watch?
Yes. Spectators are welcome in the designated viewing areas at Yas Marina Circuit free of charge.
What is the difference between the two ticket options?
Both options give you the same driving experience. The upgraded ticket adds a video recording package, so you receive footage from the two onboard cameras. If you select the standard ticket, the cameras are still fitted but the recording is not included.
What should I wear on the day?
Wear clothing that fully covers your shoulders, arms and legs. Closed-toe shoes with soft soles — trainers are best — are mandatory. Sandals and high heels are not permitted.
