The Christchurch Pass takes you to four famous attractions in Christchurch. Start off with a tram ride, which takes you back in time through an environmentally friendly journey around the city. You may also ride the gondola to the top of Port Hills, and enjoy panoramic views from 50 metres above sea level. You can likewise experience an authentic punt ride along the Avon River and a fully guided electric shuttle tour through Christchurch's Botanic Gardens.

Present your pass or mobile ticket at each attraction to redeem.

Do all four attractions have to be visited on the same day?
No. You can visit all four on one day or spread them across separate dates. The pass is valid for one year from your travel date.
Do I need to pre-book the punting and Botanic Gardens tour?
Yes — both the Avon River punt and the Botanic Gardens electric shuttle tour require advance booking. Your preferred time slots are subject to availability and may change.
How do I get between the four attractions?
Transport between attractions is not included. You will need to make your own way from one to the next — taxi, rideshare or public transport are all options.
What are the operating hours for each attraction?
The tram runs 09:00–18:00 in summer and 10:00–17:00 in winter. The gondola operates 10:00–17:00 daily. Punting runs 09:00–18:00 (October–March) or 10:00–16:00 (April–September). The Botanic Gardens shuttle runs from 10:00 (or 11:00 in winter) with the last departure at 15:30.
Is the pass suitable for children?
Yes. Children aged four and under join free but must share a seat with a parent or guardian. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times.
Do I need to print my ticket?
A mobile ticket is accepted at all four attractions, so there is no need to print anything — just have your confirmation ready to show on your phone.
