Which jump height should I choose?
9,000 ft gives roughly 20–25 seconds of freefall and suits first-timers on a tighter budget. 12,000 ft extends freefall to around 45 seconds. 15,000 ft is the full experience — up to 60 seconds of freefall with the widest panoramic views of the Wakatipu basin.
What happens if the weather is bad on my jump day?
Skydiving is weather-dependent. NZONE may cancel or reschedule at short notice due to wind, cloud cover or other safety factors. If your jump is cancelled by the operator, you will not be charged for the session.
Is there a weight or height limit?
The minimum weight is 40 kg and minimum height is 1.2 m. Participants weighing 95 kg or more are assessed at the drop zone and may incur a weight surcharge of NZD 50–75 payable on site.
Can under-18s take part?
Yes, with conditions. Anyone under 18 must provide written consent from a parent or guardian, and all younger participants are subject to the instructor's assessment on the day. Children under 6 are not permitted.
Do I need any skydiving experience?
None at all. This is a tandem jump — you are harnessed to a fully certified instructor who manages the parachute and all technical decisions throughout the jump.
Can I get photos or video of my jump?
Photo and video packages are not listed as included in the base ticket price. Ask the team at the drop zone about add-on options when you check in.
