How do I make a seat reservation with the pass?
Log in to korail.com/global/eng/myReservation and book up to 30 days before your travel date. You can also reserve seats in person at the Travel Centre inside any major KORAIL station. Each pass holder is entitled to up to two reserved seats per day; unlimited standing tickets are also available.
Can Korean citizens buy this pass?
No. The KORAIL Pass is exclusively available to international travellers and cannot be purchased or used by Korean nationals.
Do children need their own pass?
Children under 6 travel free when seated on an accompanying adult's lap with no separate seat required. Older children will need their own pass.
Which trains are NOT covered by the pass?
The pass covers all KORAIL-managed services listed above. Services operated by other rail companies (such as Seoul Metro subway lines) are not included.
Can I cancel or change my pass after booking?
Please check the cancellation terms shown at checkout, as these depend on the pass type selected and whether the pass has been activated.
Where do I activate the pass and when does it start?
Pass activation details are confirmed in your booking voucher. The pass is date-specific, so your travel days are set at the time of booking — choose your start date carefully.
