Frequently asked questions
Does my phone need to be unlocked?
Yes. Your phone must be unlocked from any previous carrier before you can use this SIM. Check with your home network operator before travelling if you are unsure.
When does the validity period start?
The clock starts from the moment you activate the SIM card at the airport collection point — not from the date of purchase. Staff will activate it for you when you collect it.
Can I use this SIM card on the date I choose, or only on my arrival date?
The voucher is valid for redemption only on the specific date you select at checkout. Make sure you choose the date you actually arrive at the airport.
What if the internet still doesn't work after activation?
Set your APN manually to 'internet' — this applies to both iOS and Android devices and usually resolves any remaining connectivity issues.
Can I top up if I run out of credit during my trip?
Yes. The SIM can be refilled at convenience stores including 7-Eleven and FamilyMart. The minimum top-up amount is TWD 300, and unused balance is non-refundable.
Is there an age requirement?
You must be at least 20 years old to collect the SIM independently. Travellers under 20 must visit a service centre accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, with ID for both parties.
