Frequently asked questions
Which airports can I pick up and return the device at?
You can collect and return at Narita International Airport (Terminals 1, 2 and 3) and Haneda Airport (Terminals 2 and 3). If your trip ends in Osaka or Hokkaido, you can also drop off at Kansai International Airport or New Chitose Airport.
What happens if I use more than 3GB in a day?
Your connection will slow down after the 3GB daily allowance is reached, but you will not be charged extra and will not lose internet access entirely. Full speeds return automatically when the data limit resets the following day.
Does the booking name need to match my passport?
Yes. The booking must be made in the name of the person collecting the device, as a passport is required for verification at the counter.
Can I connect more than three devices at once?
The device supports up to five simultaneous connections, though connecting more than three may result in reduced speeds for all users.
What are the counter opening hours?
Hours vary by terminal. Narita T1 and Haneda T3 run 6:30 AM–11:45 PM; Narita T2 and T3 run 7:00 AM–9:00 PM; Haneda T2 runs 6:00 AM–1:30 PM. Kansai Airport is open 6:30 AM–10:30 PM and New Chitose varies by terminal.
Do I need to print my confirmation?
A digital confirmation on your phone is sufficient. Just have it ready alongside your passport when you reach the counter.
