Do I need to print my ticket?
Yes. You must present a printed voucher at the entrance. A mobile or on-screen e-ticket will not be accepted, so please print your confirmation before you travel.
Can the castle close without notice?
Yes. As a working royal palace, Windsor Castle is used by The King for State ceremonies and official engagements, and closures can occasionally happen at short notice. We recommend checking the official Windsor Castle website on the day of your visit.
Will I be able to visit St George's Chapel?
Access to St George's Chapel is usually included, but it varies. On Sundays, the chapel is open to worshippers only and is not part of the general visit. On Saturdays, access may be limited after 2:30pm. Arriving earlier in the day gives you the best chance of entry.
What are the last admission times?
Last admission is 4pm from March to October, and 3pm from November to February. Plan to arrive well before these times to make the most of your visit.
Is there an audio guide, and what languages is it available in?
Audio guides are available to rent at the venue in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. They are not included in the ticket price.
How do I get to Windsor Castle by train?
The two closest stations are Windsor and Eton Central (trains from London Paddington, change at Slough) and Windsor and Eton Riverside (direct trains from London Waterloo). Both are a short walk from the castle entrance.
